Pair of terraced houses. c1835. Brick in Flemish bond to No.62; stucco-faced, scored to imitate ashlaring, to No.64. Roofs hidden behind parapets; stack on party wall. 3 storeys and 2 windows each, No.62 wider than No.64. Tie plates to party wall, and to No.62. Mid C19 shop fronts, No.62 with sashes of an authentic design, No.64 altered and with name DEVONSHIRE HOUSE between 1st and 2nd floors. All upper-floor windows are flat-arched, No.62 with gauged brick lintels, No.64 with architraves. Entablature with cornice continuous to pair. 6x6 sashes of authentic design, some with shutters. INTERIOR: believed to retain staircases, fireplaces, shutters and other original joinery details.
