Shop. 1885-86. By Robert Evans of Nottingham for W E Swann. Restored and altered internally, 1986. Red brick with ashlar dressings. Roof not visible. 2 coped side wall stacks. Sill bands, coped gables and parapets. 4 storeys; 5 window range. Windows are mainly plain sashes with stone surrounds. Ground floor has partly original wooden shopfront with recessed central entrance flanked by splayed showcase windows. Pilasters and brackets to full width cornice. On the first and second floors, a central mullioned window with pediment, flanked by canted wooden bay windows, then by smaller windows. Above again, a central window flanked by larger windows under shouldered gables, with shaped panels over the windows. Beyond, single windows. INTERIOR refitted 1986.
