This is late 20th century copy negative produced from an original print which has been hand-tinted in watercolour by George Price Boyce, watercolour painter and Pre-Raphaelite artist. He has signed and dated it 19th September 1864, which appears to coincide with a visit he made to the north-east of England in 1864. Another note on the back says 'from Aunt Caroline Nov 8th 1909'.
