Visit Grant-Aided Places

We provide grants to help conserve historic places throughout England. These include listed buildings, scheduled monuments and designed landscapes. Many grant-aided places open to the public as a condition of their grant.

The extent of public access varies from one property to another. Some are open throughout the year, some on certain days only, and others provide public access only by prior arrangement. In some cases access may be limited to certain parts of the building or site.

Services are held most Sundays throughout the year at 10.30. The building is open most weekends when weather permits or by appointment. Funding from Historic England was for repairs to the external stonework of a stained glass window on the South elevation slightly beyond a disused former entrance. This is visible at anytime and has no special access requirement.

The building is open every day between 08.00 Hrs and 18.00 Hrs for worshipers and visitors alike. Access is gained during these times by touching the green touchpad. Similarly when exiting, touch the green touchpad on the inside adjacent to the door. Access is gained at other times by entering the code number on the keypad. This number is restricted for security reasons.

We try to publicise our public opening times on external noticeboards, our website, and sometimes also on Facebook & Instagram We encourage the opening of the main doors (which open straight onto a major thoroughfare) whenever there are people in church to steward
